The strength of any community lies in its youth. At UNC, we believe that investing in young Nepalese Americans is not just important — it's essential for the future of our community.
Our youth programs focus on three pillars: education, leadership, and cultural connection. Through SAT preparation support, mentorship programs, and leadership development opportunities, we equip young people with the tools they need to succeed academically and professionally.
But education alone isn't enough. We also create opportunities for youth to engage with their Nepali heritage through cultural programs, dance classes, and community service projects. When young people understand where they come from, they gain a sense of identity and purpose that guides them forward.
The Youth Coordinator role at UNC was created specifically to ensure that young voices are heard and young leaders are nurtured. We encourage all young Nepalese Americans in California to get involved — whether as volunteers, participants, or future leaders of our organization.
